• Karate are an ancient method of training your mind, body, and spirit to act as one.

    At CK One, our program is an ideal blend of various forms of karate and age-appropriate self-defense techniques. It focuses on mental focus and stillness as much as on body fitness.

    Karate improves kids’ self-control, attention and other executive functioning skills. Behind the punches, kicks, and knees, a true martial artist learns to sit with himself and see where his weaknesses are. Progress is often marked by the belt system, which takes the beginner from a White belt through a variety of colors until Black. Testing for each new level, generally every three months, is a good exercise in setting and achieving goals.
